A Palos Verdes resident, the owner of "All-Texts Global Translation Service", traces his ancestry back to Jacques d'Landon, of the Dept. de Vienne, near Poitiers, France, a Hugenot who fled France for Hertfordshire, England in the 16th century.
In the year 2000, Mr. Landon made a trip to the village of Château Landon, Seine-et-Marne, France, near Paris, to investigate his family origins.
Mr. Landon's family origins can be traced back to the province of Normandy, France, and the area of Vienne near Poitiers. Jacques d'Landon, his first known ancestor, was born in France in the 16th century and emigrated to England in the 1600's, the next generation subsequently emigrating to America.
